Kevin Hannes, federal coordinating officer, Federal Emergency Management Agency’s National Incident Management Assistance Team - West, spoke at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Jan. 31.He was joined by a group that included the individual assistance and hazard mitigation coordinators from FEMA and a representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration. Maj. Stephen Lacovara, program manager, Logistics Capabilities Center, Marine Corps Logistics Command, was one of several guests that included local leaders, first responders and active-duty military, participating in the 15th annual Patriot's Field of Flags, Sept. 10. The 9/11 program has been organized by the American Legion Post 30 every year since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks to remember those who were killed and injured and to celebrate the heroic response to those attacks. Lacovara read the names of every Georgian who has died in military service since 9/11. - Maj.
