More than 125 Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadets from Colquitt County High School, Moultrie, Ga., participated in leadership training activities at Marine Corps Logistics Albany, March 21.

The cadets and their instructors, Lt. Col. Paul Nagy and Gunnery Sgt. Emmett Bryant, both Marine Corps retirees, visit the base annually as part of their required training. Base Marines assisted the cadets in maneuvering the obstacle course, which is designed to build confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. They also helped the cadets with their combat fitness test, which builds conditioning and increases their level of physical fitness.

Two cadets described the training as motivating and helping them overcome their fear of heights.

The cadets are high school students, mostly between the ages of 13-18.
