MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE ALBANY -- Areas that are wet or have slush are expected to refreeze overnight. Individuals traveling down Fleming and County Line Roads need to drive with extreme conditions and give themselves extra time to get to work.
Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany will remain open for limited essential operations and personnel only. Closures of most facilities remain in effect through Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025.
Max Telework for those eligible. Touch labor to report at 1000 unless you live in an area with a curfew. If you cannot make due to icy roadways, please notify your supervisor. If you are required to return to work, please use extreme caution, especially in shaded areas and those prone to holding water.
- The Johnson Road gate will open at 0930 Thursday morning.
- The Exchange, Dining Facility and Child Development Center will reopen at 1000. All other MCCS services will remain closed until Friday.
- The VA Clinic and Commissary will reopen at 1200 and close at 1700.
The following closures in the community will continue through Thursday:
- Liberty Expressway will close tonight until further notice to prevent accidents.
- All City and County offices will be closed tomorrow.
- Dougherty, Worth and Lee County schools will be closed tomorrow.
- Transit and Airport will remain closed at this time.
