Five teams braved frigid winds and chilly temperatures to compete in this year’s Daniels Cup Team Challenge, an annual event at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, March 27.
“The Daniels Cup Team Challenge is an event the fitness center hosts in order to promote teamwork, sportsmanship and fitness,” Whitney Hendrix, recreation assistant, Daniels Family Fitness Center, said.
A test of muscular strength, stamina and cardiovascular endurance, participating teams were charged with devising the best strategy to complete each event in the shortest amount of time.
The event included the tote-n-carry, tire flip, obstacle relay and buffalo pull.
“It’s a fun way for Marines and civilian employees to flex their muscles, show off and have some fun,” Hendrix added.
A tiebreaker determined the first-place winner of this year’s event, Marine Corps Systems Command.
