MCLB Albany implements non-emergency call service

By Verda L. Parker | | April 4, 2013

The Logistics Support Division at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany has created a non-emergency 311 call service to assist civilian personnel, military, contractors and family members in reporting non-emergency requests.
“The purpose of this service is to provide a one- stop shop for MCLB Albany personnel and base residents to report things out of the ordinary,” Kelly Eadie, deputy director, LSD, said.
Eadie encouraged using this service to report non-emergency concerns, such as damaged street signs, abandoned vehicles, animal remains, streetlight outages, tree debris and the like.
“The 311 service is not here to replace the 911 service,” Eadie emphasized. “In the event of a true medical emergency, callers should still dial 911.”
To submit non-emergency requests, dial 311, from a government phone, or dial 229-639-3111, from a non-government phone.
Once a call has been placed to the 311 service, follow the instructions, as prompted, on the voicemail.
All requests will be forwarded to the appropriate department for action.
For more information or questions about this service, call Tracy Parks, program assistant, LSD, at 229-639-6751.
