Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany hosted the 23rd annual Buddy Fishing Tournament at Covella Pond, Saturday.

Eligible anglers under age 15 competed for trophies in several categories such as largest fish and most fish caught.

The most fish category was judged by the combined weight of all fish caught by an individual.

Overall, anglers took home 152 pounds of fish, and final tallies indicated 144 registered children competing in their respective boys or girls categories.

The largest fish caught in the boys category during the tournament was by Matthew Hunter who hauled in a 4 pound, 6 ounce catfish. The largest fish caught in the girls category was by Jasmyn Bennett with a 2 pound, 7 ounce striped bass.
