Centuries of service rewarded at MCA

Two hundred and sixty years of service were recognized during a ceremony held at Maintenance Center Albany Aug. 13.

“We have an experienced work force here, and we see evidence of that everyday,” said Col. Terry W. Reid, commander, MCA. “The level of service and expertise here is amazing.”

Reid presented length of service awards for 10, 20 and 30 years of service. He also presented a Global War on Terrorism Medal.

Those who have completed 30 years of service were Timothy Collins, Willard Thornhill, William Hemmings, Jackie Matthews and Richard Sangster. Christopher Davis was honored with the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.

Honored for 20 years of service were David Brorsen, Wallace Daniel, Tim Davis, Farron Pasteka and Trent Blalock.

William Holmes was cited for 10 years of service. 

“It’s good to be home,” said Davis about his overseas tour of duty.
