Blount Island Command and Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island in Jacksonville, Fla., were recognized as Voluntary Protection Program Star sites by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration during a ceremony, Oct.16. Blount Island Command is the first operational organization to be recognized with this status. Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island is the third Marine Corps installation to earn the VPP Star.
