The Child Development Center and Family Advocacy Program teamed up to hold an event to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month at the Covella Pond Amphitheater at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, April 18.This event was organized to spread awareness of the importance of being alert and mindful of child safety. Remarks were given by MCLB Albany Commanding Officer Col. Michael Fitzgerald, Courtny Girley of Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, and Dougherty Juvenile Court Chief Judge Herbie Solomon. The U.S. Marine Corps placed an order last year for 21 mobile solar-powered electric vehicle charging systems. Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany was among those to benefit, receiving one unit. The Beam Global EV charging systems were purchased through the General Services Administration. Marine Corps Installations Command requires a turnkey charging infrastructure solution to solve near-term charging requirements without having to wait for construction and electrical projects to be completed.
