April 8, 2015 -- Maj. Gen. John Ewers, Staff Judge Advocate to the Commandant of the Marine Corps visited Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, April 6.
Ewers is inspecting the operation of the SJA offices across the Marine Corps, meeting with members of the Marine Corps legal community and seeing firsthand the legal services each SJA office provides to its respective command.
During his daylong visit here, Ewers also received command briefs from both MCLB Albany and Marine Corps Logistics Command, the largest tenant organization aboard MCLB Albany; and met with the two general court-martial convening authorities on base: Col. Donald Davis, MCLB Albany’s commanding officer, and Maj. Gen. John Broadmeadow, LOGCOM’s commanding general.
Ewers also toured various facilities aboard the base, including Marine Depot Maintenance Command and Distribution Management Center.
