More than 35 spouses of service members learned a broad range of information during the 2015 Military Spouses Leadership Conference at Town and Country Restaurant Grand Ballroom aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Feb. 4.

Hosted by Marine Corps Logistics Command, the daylong event featured guest speakers Samara Morales, program manager, and Staci Holt, program specialist, both with Marine and Family Programs Division, Headquarters Marine Corps.

Morales and Holt conducted three briefs: Communication — Four Lenses, Passport to Volunteerism, Overview of Conquering Stress with Strength and Overview of Marine Corps Family Team Building Programs to help the spouses hone leadership skills, mentor one another, volunteer in Albany and its neighboring communities as well as better care for their military members and families.

The theme for the event, "Lead, Empower, Achieve and Deliver," was what conference presenters and conference committee members hoped spouses focused on.
