Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany Sgt. Maj. Johnny L. Higdon, teaches a young man how to properly tie a necktie during the 5th annual “Ties that Bind” event.  A group of Marines took part in “Ties that Bind,” a mentoring event that teaches young boys to tie a necktie while forming bonds with some of the community’s most distinguished leaders at the Phoebe Northwest Conference Center in Albany, Ga., June 15.  The annual event, hosted by Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s Network of Trust School Health Program, selects 50 boys, mostly from homes without fathers, and pairs them with 50 local men.
