Uniformed officers from Albany and Dougherty County Police Departments, Dougherty County Sheriff’s Department, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany’s Marine Corps Police Department law enforcement personnel, families and community leaders come together to observe the city’s Law Enforcement Memorial Week, recently. A capacity crowd attended the event, which was held at Albany State University’s L. Orene Hall. The ceremony is an annual observance to commemorate the sacrifices of police officers who died in the line of duty.
