Col. James C. Carroll III (center), commanding officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, joins students and personnel at the installation’s Child Development Center for the 2017 Earth Day observance, here, April 21. The annual event teaches young scholars the importance of preserving the environment through planting and caring for flowers as well as fruit-bearing bushes around the perimeter of the children’s playground.
