The Albany Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee won the coveted Salty Sandbagger Trophy back from the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany team, Nov. 2. The bi-annual golf tournament, hosted by the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, is a way to continue building on the existing relationships and camaraderie between the military and business community. Col. James C. Carroll III, commanding officer, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, said, "This biannual competition really helps our military family continue to build on our strong relationships that already exist with the business community. It's just another way for us to get together and fortify the camaraderie that has been in place for decades." The special guest of honor for this event was Lt. Gen. Willie J. Williams (USMC, ret.)
