The Town and Country Grand Ballroom aboard Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany was filled with school representatives, parents and children from various schools from Dougherty, Lee and Worth Counties, July 21. The 3rd annual military child educational summit gave military families an opportunity to hear from and take a closer look at area schools. Natalie Knox Tomblin, education services officer, Marine Corps Community Services, said, “The event was a success. We had four new families with school-aged children who just arrived on base and this was the perfect opportunity for them to talk to the different schools and choose where they wanted to send their children.”
