The Southern Live Oak Tree, named “Dubber’s Oak” after Col. A. E. Dubber, is a historical landmark which is the center of alignment for the base headquarters building. 
Dubber was the resident officer-in-charge of construction during the time the base was being built and served aboard the installation from February 1951 to July 1955.
