Oct 22, 2014
In commemoration of the U.S. Navy’s 239th birthday, personnel at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Albany, Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, celebrate with their traditional cake-cutting ceremony, Oct. 15. Cmdr. Michael Tai, the oldest, and Hospitalman Wesley Balentine, the youngest, sailors at the clinic cut the cake and shared the first slice. Lt. Cmdr. Raymond Bristol, officer-in-charge, narrated the purpose of the sharing of the cake between the two as a metaphoric passing of knowledge from the senior down to the junior sailors.
