Charles Gibson, independent contractor, hired by Georgia Steel Builders Inc., welds metal piping on Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany’s obstacle course, Oct. 2. The course is currently undergoing major repair. Safety inspections of the course revealed dry rot of wooden poles and damage to the metal piping. The work includes replacement of all horizontal wooden poles and metal pipes with heavy wall pipe. Additional support posts were also added.
