Each year, the Officer's Spouses Club awards college scholarships to military and civilian family members. This program recognizes and rewards outstanding young men and women graduating from local area high schools and spouses who are pursuing college degrees. The scholarship recipients have demonstrated high personal and scholastic qualities through their superior academic performances. The students have also participated in and have led extracurricular and community activities. The OSC awarded community enrichment grants to several local non-profit organizations that are making a difference in the community. Grants will be used by these organizations to fund critical projects or program needs.Members of the OSC spend countless hours supporting a major fund raising event, the annual Scholarship and Charity Auction and raised more than $16,000, which was disbursed as scholarships and grants.The number and amount of scholarships and grants awarded vary on a yearly basis, depending upon income generated from the auction.Scholarship recipients include Lauren Cordle, Mackenzie Davis, Matthew Dickinson, Hayley Hutcherson, Jacob Kennedy, Russell Stranberg and Amber Young.
