Representatives from Weapon Systems Management Center, Logistics Capability Center and Operations Directorate recently traveled to Okinawa, Japan, and Hawaii to present briefs and discuss Marine Corps Logistics Command support to Marine Forces Pacific and III Marine Expeditionary Force.

During the weeklong trip, the command conducted six individual briefs to leadership across III MEF on Okinawa and Marine Forces Pacific staff on Hawaii on how LOGCOM executes equipment sourcing via the Push Fulfillment Plan, the capabilities of Total Life Cycle Management Operational Support Tool and how LOGCOM provides Operational Logistics Support to the operating forces.

More than 300 Marines were briefed including logistics colonels across III MEF and Brig. Gen. Tracy W. King, commanding general of 3d Marine Logistics Group.

This effort, part of the Logistics Command “Road Show” in visiting all III MEFs, greatly increased the understanding of the MEFs in the support that LOGCOM provides to the operating forces and raised awareness while also gaining advocacy for the Total Life Cycle Management Operational Support Tool by providing training and live demonstrations of the tool to the logistics community.

Overall, this trip was reported as being highly successful and generated enhanced knowledge across Marine Forces Pacific and III MEF.
