02/14/2013 -- Former Marine Sgt. Mac McQuown, who has garnered media attention as he walks the U.S. to benefit the wounded and fallen warriors, is staying at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany for four days as he is ahead of his scheduled trek.
McQuown, 51, started this effort in Stafford, Va., on Sept. 11, 2011, and walked to Ground Zero in New York City as his initial destination. He is expecting to conclude his walk throughout the U.S. at the Arlington National Cemetery in Va. in 2019.
McQuown arrived here today.
