MCLB Albany to host Independence Day Celebration

Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany is scheduled to host its 16th annual Independence Day Celebration at Boyett Park, Friday.

The event, free and open to the public, is scheduled from 4 - 10 p.m. with the main gate closing for entry at 8:30 p.m.

Patrons can meet newly-crowned Miss Georgia 2010, Christina McCauley, who will be signing autographs.

In addition, a number of child-friendly activities will be available, such as the inflatable bouncers and the Bungee/Rock Wall.

A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The public is asked ...

not to bring pets (with the exception of service dogs), alcohol, knives, coolers and weapons  

to have all bags ready for inspection prior to entering the base 

to park outside the main gate of the base

to wear appropriate clothing

The public is welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
