MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS BASE ALBANY, Ga. -- Outdoor Adventures, the Marine Corps Community Services branch for everything camping and rental-related fun, moved to its new location March 12.
Now located in the former 7-Day Store/gas station, Building 7531, it is more centrally located and closer to the Marine Corps Exchange and housing areas.
Outdoor Adventures was formally located in Building 1215 on Slack Street near the back gate.
“As far as the location goes, it’s a great location,” said Ryan Rachels, supervisor, MCCS Outdoor Adventures. “A customer can go to the exchange and then go across the street to pick up their rental gear and not have to go to the other side of the base.”
Rachels also said the new location is easier to find for patrons wanting to rent a variety of outdoor gear at a good price.
Outdoor Adventures offers campers, camping gear, canopies, grills and smokers.
Additionally they have inflatable jumpers for children’s parties rented either by the day or for the weekend.
According to information provided by MCCS, two new items are in the inventory as of the beginning of the year. They now offer a car hauling trailer as well as a couple of pond fishing boats.
For more information call (229) 639-5221/5241. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The new location is conveniently located across from the base gym between the Daniels Fitness Center and Marine Corps Exchange.
