ITT Travel Show opens for vacationers

4 Mar 2010 | Jason M. Webb Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany

The 12th annual Marine Corps Community Services Information, Tickets and Tours Travel Show at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany will host more than 35 different vacation destination exhibits at the Thomason Gymnasium, March 17, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

The recreation and travel show is free and open to all base personnel and will feature numerous door prizes and give aways for attendees.

Sue Truver, manager, ITT, said that most of the vendors have their tickets for sale at ITT for a discounted price, but this show will give attendees a better idea of what they have to offer.

“Everybody is looking for a different vacation destination, so I think this a good way to see them all in one place,” Truver said.

The travel show will feature vacation destinations both locally and as far away as North Carolina. It will also feature destinations in Florida, Alabama and throughout Georgia.

Truver said that last year the travel show hosted more than 500 attendees, and this year she hopes to have more attend because it’s a great way to see vendors firsthand and to talk about where vacationers would want to travel.

Along with learning about new places to travel, the largest draw of the travel show is the free give aways and prizes.

“Most of the vendors will offer door prizes consisting of hotel accommodations for three days and two nights to condo stays or winning merchandise,” Truver said.
