He said it was a little different making the move from Chicago to Albany.
Brads favorite things to do at the Youth/Teen Activity Center are playing games, including video games, hanging out with friends and helping the center staff.
Brad would like to see more teen-only activities.
Brad and 13 other teens met in Leesburg, Va., to identify and discuss military teen issues and concerns.
The Summit also served as a forum to identify ways the Marine Corps can better support our teens.
The five issues of concern at the summit were crisis intervention for youth, lack of transportation, teen access hours, lack of teen activities and facility deficiencies.
Brad feels the teen summit was important because it gives teens an opportunity to express their ideas.
The Youth/Teen Activities at MCLB Albany is helping the teens by working with Boys and Girls Clubs of America to provide activities that are fun.
The hours of MCLB Albanys Youth/Teen Center are Monday through Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 6 p.m. (7-10 p.m. for ages 13-18 only) and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
When asked, most youth and teens respond with the following comments or beliefs about our Youth/Teen Center: it is a safe place, it is a place to escape the stress of home and/or school and it is a place to be with friends.
