Ken Bevel (second from right), associate pastor, Sherwood Baptist Church, Albany, Ga., guest speaker for the Law Enforcement Memorial Week Ceremony, tells a story and links the analogy to the sacrifices police officers make to the community. The event, which was held at Albany State University’s L. Orene Hall, is an annual observance in commemoration of police officers who died in the line of duty. A capacity crowd of law enforcement officers, family members and local government officials attended the ceremony.
