William A. Thomas, firefighter/emergency medical technician and Sparky the Fire Dog, both from Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, are two of several first responders and volunteers entertaining hundreds of children attending the Fire Safety Show at Albany’s James H. Gray Civic Center, Oct. 7. The city’s 21st annual event was held as part of activities scheduled to commemorate “The Great Chicago Fire” and Fire Prevention Week.
