Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany and its tenant commands' officials as well as Marines, policemen, firemen, civil servants, veterans and families observed the 13th anniversary of 9/11 in front of the installation's Coffman Hall. The commemoration included an invocation, Taps, a moment of silence, a speech by MCLB Albany's commanding officer, Col. Don Davis, and a closing prayer. Davis emphasized to those at the observance to "remember the fallen of that day, remember who has fallen since, and remember that what you do here on a day-to-day basis contributes to whether or not their deaths were in vain."
